Our chapter holds events throughout the year from community service beach days to holiday parties, bar tours, hiking, and everything in between. We also watch Penn State Football every game day at Hennessey's Tavern in Costa Mesa.
The sky was blue and white for our annual Newport Beach summer bar tour on 8/3/19. As is tradition, we started festivities by gathering at Baja Sharkeez in our reserved section. They offered Penn State fans a 2 for 1 drink special!
The Annual Student Send-off for Orange County/Inland Empire students took place in a new venue with new faces on Sunday, July 21, and was another huge success! Nittany Lions gathered to wish Freshmen and returning upperclassmen bon voyage before they head-off to their campuses for the Fall semester.

Every year our alumni chapter awards scholarships to local students. This year we have worked hard to improve the process for applying.
This August the OCIEA Chapter will be coming together as a group to watch the Angels play the Pirates at Angel Stadium of Anaheim!
The game will be held at 5:07pm on Wednesday August 14. We only have 20 tickets, so we recommend reserving your seats ASAP before they sell out!
Our annual summer bar tour is coming up on August 3 in Newport Beach!
Orange County Inland Empire, San Diego, and the Los Angeles Penn State Alumni Association Chapters have come together to bring you a family-friendly THON FUNDRAISER event this June!
You’re invited to join us at the Wilson Creek Winery in Temecula on Saturday June 22, 2019 from 12pm – 4pm to mingle with other Penn Staters, listen to live music and enjoy some of Temecula’s best wines & snacks.
To celebrate Earth Day this year, a few of us got together (with our dogs!) to pick up trash at Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley.
About 20 Chapter members and visitors gathered to cheer on the Blue and the White this past Saturday at the Blue Beet in Newport Beach.
Last year’s Earth Day park clean-up was a big success so we are excited to do it again this year!
Grab your dog (or a friend’s dog) and join us on April 20 at 10am to help us pick up trash at Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley. It is a great opportunity to enjoy the Spring weather, give back to the community & mother nature, and meet other Penn Staters.
As is our local Penn State alumni tradition, we gather a couple of days early to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! This past Thursday night, we brought our Penn State & Irish spirit to Muldoon’s in Newport Beach.
