To celebrate Earth Day this year, a few of us got together (with our dogs!) to pick up trash at Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley.

We all met by the tennis courts at 10am, and then walked through the park together, enjoying each other’s company and picking up trash along the way. By the time we got back to our cars, we had filled close to 5 trash bags with cigarette butts, plastic cups, razors, wrappers and more. The most interesting find was a broken nail clipper with an image of the Eiffel Tower on it!

Though it was grey in the morning, the sun came out by the time we were done and the weather ended up being perfect for the occasion. We had a great time and look forward to hosting more events like this again in the future!
