Blue and White Game 2019 at the Blue Beet – Recap

About 20 Chapter members and visitors gathered to cheer on the Blue and the White this past Saturday at the Blue Beet in Newport Beach.

One man wandered in and just happened to notice our “Lion Paw on a Stick” decoration with our Penn State banner, he had no idea that alumni would be there watching the game. Adam moved here about 3 months ago after living in New York City for the past 12 years. We are hoping to see him at a Board meeting and for football viewing.

The Blue Beet were most welcoming to us as usual! JJ, the manager, provided us with a free appetizer platter to start. The drink special was the Blue/White Punch, aka a Blue Hawaiian (thanks for the suggestion, Anna Bryan)!

Some of us also ordered dinner as well to keep on cheering for the Blue team, or the White team. The Blue Beet is also our second viewing location for the football games in the fall, in addition to JT Schmidt’s at The District in Tustin.

In the end, Blue prevailed, with a 24-7 win. This Spring game got us all pumped for the upcoming season. It was nice to see Saquon Barkley back on the sidelines of Beaver Stadium for a visit. WE ARE!
