This month our Chapter is turning 32 years old!
The Orange County/Inland Empire Area Chapter Penn State Alumni Association was founded in 1986 by two current board members, Dick Jantzer and Tim Davis. Now 32 years later, the OCIEA Chapter has nearly 130 members.
Our chapter has reached ELM Level Group of Distinction for the past several years due to meeting standards of excellence around fundraising for our Chapter Endowment Scholarship Program, participation in multiple Community Outreach initiatives, responsible stewardship of our accounts i.e. financial, membership, and otherwise, and promoting academic excellence through College Fairs and Student Outreach Programs…just to name a few. We are the first Alumni Chapter to reach $100K for our Endowment Scholarship Program and we proudly award at least $10,000 in scholarships to local students of Orange County and Inland Empire areas each year.
WE ARE…A TEAM OF EXCELLENCE because of YOU, our members.
The OCIEA Chapter Board would like to say THANK YOU so please join us by attending one of our game viewing locations on November 10, 2018 at either the Blue Beet in Newport Beach, or JT Schmid’s in Tustin. More details on our football post here.
Whether morning, afternoon or evening, we will celebrate with DANCING and CAKE as we sing Happy 32nd to our Chapter. (OK, maybe dancing is questionable but cake is a definite!) We hope to see you there!
