We Are…supporting the future!

In May 2010, the Orange County Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association became the first alumni chapter in Penn State history to raise $100,000 for an endowed scholarship for undergraduate students. Because of this accomplishment, our chapter was featured in the Penn State Alumni Association July 2010 Alumni Insider in an article written by Roger L. Williams who stated, “This is an incredible accomplishment for a group of dedicated volunteer leaders who live 3,000 miles away from their alma mater. It means that, into perpetuity, students and families from Southern California will be assured of significant financial support to help with out-of-state tuition.”
Profits from every OCCPSAA event, member dues and donations help to raise money for our endowed scholarship fund that enables students living in Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties to attend Penn State.
These scholarships provide students the opportunity to have a superior college education while experiencing Mount Nittany, Beaver Stadium, Berkey-Creamery ice cream, the Lion Shrine, Dance Marathon and more.   Our past winning-graduates have gone on to do amazing work*
In the last several years OCCPSAA has awarded $10,000.00 in scholarships annually to local California students. In past years, the Penn State Alumni Association has awarded our chapter the Scholarship Award.  We thank everyone who has contributed to our endowment over the years and for supporting our chapter’s mission.   We welcome your ongoing contributions.
